A proposed class action out of New Mexico claims C&S Oilfield Services, LLC and its owners violated the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) by denying workers proper overtime wages. The lawsuit claims the proposed class of oilfield workers were intentionally misclassified by the defendants as exempt from overtime pay. According to the named plaintiff, the defendants also allegedly informed oilfield workers that they did not need to clock in when they reported for work, thereby failing to keep accurate and complete time records as required by law. Proposed class members allegedly worked more than 80 hours per week without overtime pay.
