A proposed class action claims Viking Client Services, LLC violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) when it placed calls to proposed class members’ cell phones using an automatic telephone dialing system. Filed in California, the complaint says the defendant made use of an artificial or prerecorded message when calling the plaintiff in an attempt to collect a debt. Despite receiving a cease and desist notice, the defendant allegedly continued to call the plaintiff’s cell phone (using an autodialer) and leave messages.
