Gorss Motels has filed a class action in Connecticut against Otis Elevator Company claiming the defendant sent unsolicited junk faxes advertising its services.
Gorss Motels has filed a class action in Connecticut against Otis Elevator Company claiming the defendant sent unsolicited junk faxes advertising its services in violation of both the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Junk Fax Prevention Act of 2005. According to court documents, the plaintiffs did not give prior express content before receiving the faxes.
Under the Junk Fax Prevention Act, individuals may be eligible to damages of up to $500 per junk fax received.
