Florida
Synergy Marketing Associates Inc. is on the receiving end of a proposed class action filed by a Florida resident who claims he received unsolicited phone messages from the company.
The defendant operates under the name National Plan Advisors and recruits agents for insurance companies, according to the case. The suit takes issue with an alleged prerecorded message left on the plaintiff’s cell phone advertising a job opening at a Fort Lauderdale call center. The man claims he did not provide the company with express consent to receive prerecorded promotional messages, making the call a violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA).
