Filed: July 9, 2018 ◆§ 5:18cv799
Retail furniture store Raymour & Flanigan is facing a proposed class action suit alleging that the company sends unsolicited promotional text messages.
New Jersey
Retail furniture store Raymour & Flanigan has been named in a proposed class action suit alleging that the company sends unsolicited text messages promoting its products and services to consumers. Filed against Raymours Furniture Company, Inc., the case argues that the defendant violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) by sending promotional text messages en masse and continuing to send them after recipients attempt to opt out. The suit seeks an injunction requiring the defendant to cease sending unsolicited text messages. It also argues that the plaintiff is entitled to compensation for the defendant's alleged willful violation of the TCPA, as well as the invasion of privacy suffered by the plaintiff.
