In a collection letter sent to the plaintiff on September 1, 2017, the defendant supposedly demanded payment on a debt allegedly owed to Money Key. What the letter failed to mention, the case argues, was that the plaintiff must submit any disputes in writing in order to receive verification of the debt or the identity of the original creditor.

“Plaintiff sustained an informational injury as she was wrongfully misinformed that she need not request the debt information in writing,” the complaint summarizes.
