Clock v. Michael Harrison Attorney at Law
Filed: January 31, 2018 ◆§ 2:18cv685
A New York consumer has brought a class action against Michael Harrison Attorney at Law over alleged violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
New York
A New York consumer has brought a proposed class action against Michael Harrison Attorney at Law over suspected violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). The plaintiff’s suit sticks on the claim that the defendant mailed her a collection notice in which it failed to properly identify the creditor to whom her debt is owed. Though the notice named East End Anesthesiologists, LLC and Southampton Hospital as the provider and location of the plaintiff’s medical services over which her debt is owed, the case argues the defendant erred in failing to indicate from which party the plaintiff’s account was referred; who Michael Harrison Attorney at Law represents; and the name of the entity the plaintiff should make her check payable to.
