A Florida woman has claimed in a proposed class action that Matco Tools Corporation illegally placed calls to consumers’ cell phones without their prior consent using automated dialing technology. According to the suit, the plaintiff received several calls from the defendant containing a prerecorded voice that attempted to reach a person whom the plaintiff says she does not know. She claims she has never been a Matco customer and that despite her demand that the defendant stop calling her, its allegedly illegal behavior continued.
