Dominion Capital Mortgage Inc. is the defendant in a proposed class action that alleges the company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) with its wide-scale telemarketing tactics, namely with repeated, unsolicited autodialed telephone calls placed to consumers’ cell phones. The lawsuit claims the Virginia-based mortgage lender failed to obtain any prior express consent before placing the autodialed calls. When consumers tried to opt out of future calls by requesting never to be called again, the lawsuit says, the defendant ignored these pleas.
