Mount Baker Imaging and Northwest Radiologists experienced a network disruption around January 25, 2025 that affected certain internal systems. An investigation into the incident determined that an unauthorized party accessed certain information, including a limited amount of protected health data.
Although the review into the breach continues, the accessed data potentially includes individuals’ names, addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, email addresses, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state identification numbers, treatment or diagnosis details, provider names, medical record or patient identification numbers, health insurance information and treatment cost information.
Mt. Baker Imaging operates several locations within Whatcom County, Washington, offering services including ultrasounds, MRIs, CT scans, X-rays and 3D mammograms. Physicians at Northwest Radiologists handle the interpretation of these medical images.
Mt. Baker Imaging and Northwest Radiologists will mail letters to impacted patients once the review of the data breach is complete, reports say.
