Medical Associates of Brevard, LLC, a medical group serving the Melbourne, Florida area, has reported a criminal cyberattack that disrupted its computer systems. Following the incident, the healthcare provider worked with third-party cybersecurity experts to determine what personal and health information may have been subject to unauthorized access or acquisition.
Around July 7, 2025, the medical practice identified individuals whose information may have been affected, and it is now in the process of notifying them.
According to a notice posted on the healthcare provider’s website, the Medical Associates of Brevard data breach potentially exposed individuals’ names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID numbers, medical treatment information, health insurance details and, for a limited number of people, financial account data.
