Deaconess Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation

As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the Deaconess data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
Deaconess Security Incident: What Happened?
Deaconess Health System, a healthcare network operating in Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois, has reported a data breach linked to a December 2025 security incident at third-party data migration and archiving company, Aesto Health.
A notice linked from the Deaconess website regarding the Aesto Health data breach stated that certain protected health information pertaining to patients of various Aesto clients may have been viewed or acquired by an unauthorized individual. A report regarding the Deaconess Health System data breach submitted to the Texas Attorney General's Office on August 7, 2026 specifically indicated that names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver's license numbers, and medical and health insurance information may have been affected.
Deaconess had previously suffered a data breach involving information it had shared with MediCopy, a third-party vendor, in early 2026.
