Dartmouth Security Incident: What Happened?
Dartmouth, a private Ivy League institution in Hanover, New Hampshire, has disclosed a data breach involving its Oracle eBusiness Suite (EBS) software. This incident was part of a global vulnerability affecting numerous Oracle EBS users, which allowed unauthorized access to various organizations' data, including Dartmouth's.
The unauthorized access occurred from August 9 to August 12, 2025. An investigation into the Dartmouth College data breach revealed that some files containing names, Social Security numbers, and financial account details were compromised. In response, Dartmouth secured the affected systems, alerted law enforcement, and has started notifying individuals impacted by the breach.
What You Can Do After the Dartmouth Data Breach
If your information was exposed in the Dartmouth data breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
