As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
CPAP Medical Security Incident: What Happened?
CPAP Medical Supplies and Services Inc., which offers sleep therapy services and CPAP supplies to military members and their families, has reported a data breach potentially affecting some individuals' privacy. An unauthorized actor accessed CPAP Medical's network from December 13 to December 21, 2024, according to an online data breach notice.
Upon discovering the breach, CPAP Medical secured its systems and collaborated with cybersecurity experts to investigate. By June 27, 2025, it was confirmed that the systems contained identifiable health and personal data. A report provided to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation indicates that Social Security numbers, medical records, financial accounts, and driver's licenses were among the types of exposed information.
On August 15, 2025, letters began to be mailed to those affected by the CPAP Medical data breach, provided contact information was available. According to a report submitted to the Maine Attorney General's Office, 90,133 people are impacted.
