Balance Autism Security Incident: What Happened?
On or around March 17, 2025, Balance Autism discovered suspicious activity on its network systems and initiated an investigation with forensic experts to assess the situation. It was determined that certain information was copied from the organization's systems during the Balance Autism data breach.
The compromised information could include Social Security numbers, dates of birth, health insurance details, and Medicaid numbers, varying by individual. Balance Autism completed its review of impacted data and is mailing notifications to affected individuals for whom it has address information.
Balance Autism provides therapy and care for adults and children with autism and has locations throughout Iowa.
