VillageMD Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the VillageMD data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the VillageMD data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
VillageMD Security Incident: What Happened?
Village Practice Management Company, which operates as VillageMD, has disclosed a data breach linked to a December 2025 security incident at Aesto Health, a third-party data analytics and archiving company.
VillageMD, which provides primary care services through Village Medical, Summit Health, CityMD and Starling Physicians, reported that the Aesto breach exposed names, Social Security numbers, medical information and dates of birth, according to an August 4, 2026 report filed with the Texas Attorney General's Office. The report further noted that 25,022 residents of the state were impacted.
A report regarding the VillageMD data breach was also submitted to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on July 31, 2026.
