The incident was discovered over a year ago, around November 10, 2022, when suspicious activity was detected on certain computer systems. An investigation found that unauthorized access to TRISTAR's email environment began on November 4, 2022, and that the bad actor gained access to certain TRISTAR systems on November 9, 2022. During the investigation, it was determined that customer-related information was possibly stolen from TRISTAR's network. The personal information that could have been accessed includes names and Social Security numbers.
