As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Renkim Security Incident: What Happened?
Renkim, a Southgate, Michigan-based company specializing in print and electronic mail solutions, recently announced a data breach that may have compromised personal information. The issue was discovered on March 3, 2025, when suspicious network activity was detected. Action was taken to halt the activity and secure the network, with Renkim also enlisting third-party experts to conduct an investigation.
The investigation revealed that unauthorized access started on March 2, 2025. Data potentially obtained in the incident includes individuals' full names, contact information, client names, client account numbers, and service dates. In some cases, it also includes dates of birth and Social Security numbers. This information was collected to process and create mailings for Renkim’s clients.
A report submitted to the Maine Attorney General's Office states that 46,864 individuals are affected by the Renkim data breach.
What You Can Do
If your information was exposed in the data breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
