Payactiv Security Incident: What Happened?
Payactiv, Inc., a financial wellness software company based in California, is notifying individuals impacted by a data security incident that involved unusual activity in its computer network.
Though not much is known about the Payactiv data breach, the company, which operates an eponymous financial wellness app, reported that it recently learned an unauthorized third party had viewed information stored in its systems. With support from outside cybersecurity experts, an investigation determined on September 12, 2025 that certain personal data was involved.
The types of data and the number of people affected by the incident are currently unknown.
