Minnesota ENT Security Incident: What Happened?
Oakdale Ear Nose & Throat PA, doing business as Minnesota ENT, has disclosed a data breach affecting personal and protected health information.
According to a notice posted to its website, Minnesota ENT detected unauthorized access to six of its user email accounts and, following an investigation with cybersecurity professionals, determined on July 15, 2026 that the impacted files may have contained some sensitive information.
The information exposed in the incident, varying per individual, included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account information, medical information and health insurance information.
The Minnesota ENT data breach was also reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on August 12. The healthcare provider began sending notices to individuals potentially affected by the incident on the same day; a sample is shown below.
