Millstone Medical Security Incident: What Happened?
Millstone Medical Outsourcing, a Massachusetts-based medical device post-manufacturing and logistics provider, has reported a data breach involving sensitive information.
According to a notice submitted to USA TODAY, Millstone Medical became aware of suspicious activity impacting its systems on December 16, 2026. Following an investigation with cybersecurity experts, the company determined that certain data was subject to unauthorized access and/or acquisition between December 15 and 19 of that year.
A review of the affected data revealed on July 15, 2026 that personal information may have been exposed during the Millstone Medical data breach.
A September 21 report filed with the Vermont Attorney General's Office states that the Millstone Medical Outsourcing data breach impacted Social Security numbers, government ID numbers, credit and debit account information, financial account codes and health records.
