Delaware North Security Incident: What Happened?
Delaware North, which operates over 200 hotels, casinos, restaurants, sports venues, and other locations globally, has reported a data breach involving a compromised Microsoft account.
According to a letter sent to the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, Delaware North identified suspicious activity in an employee’s Microsoft account on January 28, 2026. An ensuing investigation discovered that an unauthorized actor had stolen copies of certain files the day prior, on January 27. A review determined on May 28 that names, driver’s license numbers, and state-issued identification numbers were contained in the files exfiltrated in the Delaware North data breach.
A report submitted to the Texas Attorney General’s Office indicates that Social Security numbers may also have been exposed in the cyberattack.
Delaware North, employing over 40,000 people, began mailing notification letters to potentially affected individuals on June 5 (a sample notice is pictured below).
