BAYADA Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the BAYADA data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the BAYADA data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
BAYADA Security Incident: What Happened?
BAYADA Home Health Care has disclosed a data breach in a report to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
A notice posted on BAYADA’s website states that on March 2, 2026, BAYADA learned of the cybersecurity event, enlisting third-party experts to conduct a forensic investigation. It was determined that unauthorized access to certain systems and data occurred between February 18 and March 2 of the same year.
A review of the information affected by the BAYADA data breach is ongoing, but potentially affected information may include names, dates of birth, diagnosis and treatment information, provider information, health insurance plan information, prescription information, hospital admissions/discharges, disability information, and Social Security numbers.
Notifications will be sent to affected individuals once the data review is complete.
Operating in six countries and 22 U.S. states, BAYADA served nearly 170,000 people last year.
What You Can Do After the BAYADA Data Breach
If your information was exposed in the BAYADA data breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
