AnMed, a healthcare system operating in Georgia and South Carolina, has suspended service operations at multiple locations in response to an active cybersecurity disruption on its network.
According to a notice posted on its website on July 26, 2026, AnMed reported that it was assessing its systems as part of a cybersecurity disruption involving malware and announced widespread office closures for the following day.
The investigation is ongoing, and the healthcare company has not disclosed whether sensitive information was affected by the incident. AnMed will continue to provide updates on the cybersecurity event and investigation on its website as more information becomes available.
The AnMed cyberattack was also reported by The HIPAA Journal, which noted the delay of patient services with the temporary closure of 79 of its 106 facilities while computer systems, phone lines and internet connectivity are interrupted.
