As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
AACN Security Incident: What Happened?
American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) recently experienced a data breach involving its website payment system that reportedly impacted 57,526 individuals. Upon becoming aware of the incident, the non-profit specialty nursing organization collaborated with its payment processor and cybersecurity experts to investigate and secure its systems. On July 31, 2025, it was determined that an unauthorized party accessed payment card information linked to transactions on AACN's website beginning on March 8, 2025.
The American Association of Critical-Care Nurses data breach potentially affected personal data, including payment card details, names and contact information associated with website transactions. AACN says it is unable to determine the specific cards affected but is notifying individuals who made purchases on its website during the relevant timeframe.
