Woodlawn Hospital Security Incident: What Happened?
Woodlawn Hospital has reported a data security incident involving unauthorized access to files on its computer network, which, according to a notice posted on the medical facility’s website, were copied without permission between June 25 and June 30, 2025. The files reportedly contained data used for hospital facility operations.
The online notice says the compromised files may contain individuals’ names, addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or other state ID numbers, health insurance details and certain medical information.
The Indiana-based hospital, which services Fulton County and surrounding areas, is currently conducting a review of the affected files. Once the review is complete, it will notify individuals impacted by the Woodlawn Hospital data breach.
Woodlawn Hospital reported the data breach to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on August 25, 2025.
