Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the VeriSource Services data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
VeriSource Services, Inc., a company specializing in employee administrative and benefit data management services, recently experienced a data breach that may have compromised personal information. The unauthorized access occurred around February 27, 2024 and was discovered by VeriSource on February 28, 2024, when unusual activity disrupted certain systems.
According to an online notice, the VeriSource Services data breach may have exposed consumers' names, dates of birth and Social Security numbers. A report submitted to the Texas Attorney General's Office indicates that addresses may have also been compromised.
On August 20, 2024, VeriSource Services began mailing notice to affected individuals, who include employees of the companies that use VeriSource's services and individuals who were named as their dependents or beneficiaries.
