According to a notice posted to its website on July 28, 2026, Valley Kidney became aware of unauthorized activity on its network on June 11 of this year. Following an investigation with third-party specialists, the medical practice determined that certain files potentially containing sensitive personal and protected health information were accessed by an unauthorized party during the incident.
The types of information contained within the affected files potentially included names, addresses, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, dates of service or treatment, medical insurance information, medical record numbers and diagnoses.
The review of the files affected by the Valley Kidney data breach remains ongoing as the company starts to provide notice to potentially impacted individuals.
