Unlimited Systems Security Incident: What Happened?
Unlimited Technology Systems, which provides practice management software to healthcare organizations, has disclosed a data breach potentially affecting sensitive information.
According to a sample notice submitted to the Iowa Attorney General’s Office on July 1, 2026, Unlimited Systems detected unusual activity within its commercial data center on October 19, 2025. After an investigation with a cybersecurity forensic firm, the company determined that an unauthorized actor accessed files between October 5, 2025 and October 10, 2025.
The sample notice, which can be seen below, states that information potentially affected by the Unlimited Systems data breach included names, health insurance policy numbers, health insurance claims or benefits, medical record numbers, dates of service, diagnosis information, driver’s licenses, government IDs, insurance cards, intake forms, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, email and mailing addresses, phone numbers and demographic information.
The notice states that the degree of impacted information varied per individual.
