Estée Lauder Companies Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation

Estée Lauder Companies Security Incident: What Happened?
The Estée Lauder Companies, which operates dozens of skin care, makeup, fragrance, and hair care brands, has reported a data breach involving sensitive information.
According to a sample of the notice sent to affected individuals, which can be seen below, the beauty conglomerate became aware of an incident involving a vulnerability in the Oracle E-Business Suite System used for HR management purposes. After an investigation, it determined on June 19, 2026 that an unauthorized third party gained access to the system and obtained the sensitive information of certain individuals on or around August 9, 2025.
The notice states that information affected by the Estée Lauder Companies data breach included names, postal and email addresses, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, passport numbers, financial account information (bank account numbers), health information and employment-related information, such as performance evaluation and payroll information. The degree of information impacted by the breach varied per individual.
A July 21, 2026 report submitted to the Texas Attorney General's Office indicates that Estée Lauder Companies is sending mailed notices to individuals affected by the breach, including 1,959 Texans.
