Texas Digestive Specialists Security Incident: What Happened?
On June 3, 2025, a leading data breach publication reported that Texas Digestive Specialists may have been subject to a ransomware attack. The Texas gastroenterology and surgical practice was reportedly added to InterLock’s dark web leak site, with the group claiming to have stolen 263 GB of data that included more than 215,000 individual files.
DataBreaches.net said it took a sample of the leaked data and “noticed evidence” that InterLock encrypted the files, which included PDFs with lab reports. These reports reportedly contained personal and health information such as patients’ names, birth dates, test dates, relevant medical histories, and lab results.
Texas Digestive Specialists serves adults and children through its three locations in McAllen, Brownsville and Harlingen, Texas.
