Teamsters Union 25 HSIP Security Incident: What Happened?
On August 1, 2025, Teamsters Union 25 Health Services & Insurance Plan (HSIP), a collectively bargained employee health and welfare benefits plan for members of Teamsters Union Local 25, uncovered unauthorized activity within its network. Measures were taken to secure the network, and third-party experts were engaged to help contain and investigate the breach. It was determined that certain data was accessed and possibly copied without permission. By August 18, 2025, a review was completed to identify the data involved and the individuals affected, and notifications are being sent to those potentially impacted by the Teamsters Union 25 Health Services & Insurance Plan data breach.
The compromised data may include a person’s name, Social Security number, member ID, health information, and/or health insurance details, depending on what was provided to HSIP. The specific information affected varies per individual.
