Sunshine Health Security Incident: What Happened?
Sunshine Health, a Florida-based Medicaid provider and healthcare company, has reported a data breach involving sensitive health information.

Following an investigation with outside experts, the company determined that the information potentially affected by the incident included names, dates of birth, medical information, medical history, and health plan coverage information. The extent of information affected by the breach varied by individual.
A report filed with the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on July 10, 2026 states that 41,569 individuals were affected by the Sunshine Health data breach.
