Sun Valley Surgery Center, a Las Vegas-based facility that specializes in pediatric dental procedures, has reported to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) a data breach affecting 27,001 people.
According to a notice posted on its website, the surgery center learned of a potential issue involving its information systems on September 3, 2025. An investigation found that the incident may have compromised a range of personal data, including names, contact information, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state-issued ID details, and passport or other government ID information.
In addition, the Sun Valley Surgery Center data breach may have involved medical-related information such as health history, treatment and diagnosis details, health insurance data, and medical record numbers or patient ID numbers.
