Senior Scripts Data Breach:
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Senior Scripts data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Senior Scripts, which provides pharmaceutical and other health- and medical-related services, has reported to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services a data breach affecting 10,566 individuals. According to the company's notice of the security incident, patients whose information may have been exposed are now being sent letters.
On October 20, 2023, Senior Scripts, also known as Midwest Long Term Care Services, identified suspicious activity within its IT systems and found that an unauthorized party had accessed the network. It was determined that between October 8 and October 20, 2023, the unauthorized party potentially accessed and downloaded files containing personal data.
These files were found to contain varying patient information, which could have included patient names, contact information, insurance details, dates of birth, prescription information and Social Security numbers.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force Senior Scripts to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
