Saint Pete MRI Security Incident: What Happened?
Saint Pete MRI (SPMRI), a diagnostic imaging and sleep lab serving the greater Tampa Bay area, has reported a data breach involving personal and protected health information.
According to a July 22, 2026 notice posted on its website, SPMRI became aware of suspicious activity in its network on or around February 23, 2025. Following an investigation with an independent team, SPMRI determined on July 15, 2026 that the data accessed without authorization may have included names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license or state identification numbers, medical information and health insurance information.
The Saint Pete MRI data breach was also reported to the Vermont Attorney General's Office on July 22, 2026.
SPMRI began sending mailed notices to affected individuals on the same day.
