Safetyfirst Security Incident: What Happened?
Commercial vehicle safety solutions and operations compliance company Safetyfirst Systems has reported a data breach involving sensitive information.
According to a notice posted on its website, Safetyfirst detected suspicious account activity on a portion of its server environment on January 19, 2026. Following an investigation with third-party forensic specialists, the New Jersey-based company determined that an unauthorized actor had accessed its systems and acquired certain files between January 16, 2026 and January 19, 2026.
The information impacted by the breach included names, Social Security numbers and driver's license numbers, varying by affected individual.
The Safetyfirst Systems data breach was also reported to the Texas Attorney General's Office on July 23, 2026.
