According to an October 5, 2026 post on dark web monitoring site Ransomware.live, hacker group Insomnia was behind the suspected attack, which was estimated to have occurred on September 17 of the same year.
Breachsense, another cybersecurity platform, similarly stated that Insomnia claimed to be responsible for an attack on Praxis EMR.
At the time this post was made, no additional information was available about the scope or nature of the unconfirmed Praxis EMR data breach.
