PhyNet Dermatology Security Incident: What Happened?
PhyNet Dermatology LLC, a national dermatology practice management company, is notifying individuals of a data breach involving its affiliate, Total Vein & Skin, LLC, which does business as Premier Dermatology Partners. On November 7, 2024, PhyNet discovered suspicious activity in an employee’s email account. Following this, the company secured its email system and launched an investigation, revealing that a limited number of email accounts were compromised.
A review, completed on June 6, 2025, identified that patient information linked to Premier Dermatology Partners was potentially exposed. Information compromised in the PhyNet Dermatology data breach may include names, addresses, Social Security numbers, financial account details, birth dates, medical history information, treatment and diagnostic information, treating doctors, medical record numbers, and health insurance details. Letters sent to affected individuals note that PhyNet had access to this information because it provides administrative support to Premier Dermatology Partners.
Premier Dermatology Partners offers medical, cosmetic and surgical dermatology services at several locations in Florida, including Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, Delray Beach and Boynton Beach.
