Persante Security Incident: What Happened?
Persante Health Care, a national provider of sleep and balance center management services for medical facilities, has announced a data breach that may have compromised personal and protected health information. On January 28, 2025, the company discovered unusual network activity and took action to secure its systems. An investigation, aided by external cybersecurity experts, revealed unauthorized access to certain files, potentially affecting personal data. The Persante Health Care data breach occurred between January 23 and 28, 2025.
By October 3, 2025, Persante Health Care identified that individuals' sensitive information could be involved. This may include names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, biometric identifiers, and medical and financial details, among other sensitive data. The company has since notified affected medical facilities and coordinated with them to inform impacted individuals. Notices were sent on November 26, 2025 to those for whom address information was available.
