Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the PeopleGuru data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
PeopleGuru Security Incident: What Happened?
PeopleGuru Holdings, Inc., a software company that provides client organizations with payroll services, has reported a data security incident involving unauthorized third-party access to certain systems within its computer network.
The company, which is based in Tampa, Florida, learned of the suspicious activity in early July 2025, and an investigation determined that certain information within the affected systems may have been viewed or acquired without authorization between July 6 and July 9 of this year.
The company recently concluded a review of the impacted files and is now notifying individuals whose information may have been exposed in the PeopleGuru data breach.
The incident potentially involved individuals’ names, Social Security numbers, financial account details, dates of birth, passport numbers, driver’s license numbers, medical data and health insurance information, if provided.
