Pediatric Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery Associates, P.A., which does business as Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists, reported that it discovered unusual activity on its computer network on February 24, 2025.
The healthcare provider, which operates facilities serving Tampa, Florida and the surrounding area, launched an investigation and found that an unauthorized third party accessed certain information stored on its network between February 19 and February 24, 2025. The affected files are being reviewed to determine what data was involved and who was impacted.
The Pediatric Ear, Nose & Throat Specialists data breach may have compromised patient names, mailing and email addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, driver’s license or state ID numbers, financial account information, taxpayer ID numbers, digital signatures and dates of birth. In addition, the incident may have exposed individuals’ medical diagnoses and treatment data, prescription details, provider names, dates of service, Medicare or Medicaid numbers, health insurance information and other medical data.
According to a report submitted to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 43,446 people were affected by the incident.
