PDCM Data Breach: Lawsuit Investigation

As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the PDCM data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.

PDCM Security Incident: What Happened?

PDCM Insurance, an Iowa-based insurance brokerage specializing in business insurance, employee benefits and specialized industry solutions, has reported a data breach that may have exposed clients' sensitive information.

According to a notice posted to its website, PDCM became aware of suspicious network activity involving certain computer systems on April 28, 2025. Following an investigation to determine the scope and nature of the activity, the company determined that there was unauthorized access to certain files and folders on its network between April 27 and 28.

Information that was potentially exposed in the PDCM data breach includes names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, state identification numbers, taxpayer numbers and financial account information. The incident may have also impacted protected health information, including treatment information, diagnoses, treating or referring physicians, prescription and medication information, group health insurance and subscriber numbers, individual health insurance and subscriber numbers, medical policy numbers and medical record numbers.

The PDCM Insurance data breach was additionally reported to both the Vermont Attorney General's Office and the Texas Attorney General's Office on September 29, 2026.
