Osceola Mental Health, which does business as Park Place Behavioral Health Care, has reported a data breach that may have exposed sensitive personal information.
According to a notice posted to its website, the healthcare company became aware of unusual activity on its computer systems on July 23, 2026. Following an investigation with a third-party cybersecurity firm, Park Place concluded on August 19 that certain information stored on its systems was copied by an unauthorized actor.
Information that may have been exposed in the Park Place data breach, varying by individual, includes names, dates of birth, Social Security numbers, driver's license or government-issued ID numbers, financial account information, health information and health insurance information.
Park Place finalized the list of individuals to notify of the breach on September 17; a sample notification letter is shown below.
The Park Place Behavioral Health Care data breach was also reported to the Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation on September 24, 2026.
Prior to the official disclosure, hacker group Insomnia claimed to be responsible for an attack on the mental health clinic serving Osceola County, Florida, as reported in an August 6, 2026 post on dark web monitoring site Ransomware.live.
