On August 21, 2025, DataBreaches.net reported that MPOWERHealth, a healthcare solutions provider based in Addison, Texas, fell victim to a cyberattack that may have exposed protected health information. According to the report, a listing on the dark web leak site for ransomware group WorldLeaks claimed the group had acquired 1.5 TB of MPOWERHealth's data, encompassing 1,622,547 files. The compromised data reportedly included internal company files containing protected health information, such as health insurance claims and explanations of benefits. Additionally, files containing login credentials and details of the company’s cyberinsurance policy may have been exposed in the potential MPOWERHealth data breach, DataBreaches.net reported.
MPOWERHealth specializes in providing healthcare services and solutions, including a physician network, payment solutions for musculoskeletal care, and clinical services.
