According to the post, ransomware group ShinyHunters has claimed responsibility for stealing over 1,300 files and tens of millions of records related to the school's enrollment, donor relations, payroll, and communications systems.
The Moody Bible Institute data breach may be related to a vulnerability in Oracle’s PeopleSoft platform, which was reportedly exploited in a recent ShinyHunters campaign, according to Security Week.
Moody Bible Institute had not confirmed the suspected cyberattack at the time this post was made.
