MIPS Data Breach:
Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the MIPS data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
On June 26, 2024, MIPS Holding, Inc. discovered suspicious activity within its network. The semiconductor design company launched an investigation with the help of third-party cybersecurity specialists to assess the extent of the MIPS data breach, contain the situation, and secure its systems. The investigation revealed unauthorized access to the network, with certain files and folders being viewed or acquired by an unknown actor on June 26.
MIPS has started sending data breach notification letters to affected individuals, informing them of the specific data compromised.
If your information was exposed in the breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.
A successful case could also force MIPS to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.
