Discovered on November 14, 2024, the breach affected the practice's IT systems. Mid America Physician Services engaged cybersecurity experts and notified law enforcement to manage and mitigate the situation.

An investigation, completed by May 8, 2025, revealed that the Mid America Physician Services data breach involved the exposure of certain patient information, including names, addresses, dates of birth, medical treatment details, billing information, and health insurance information. A report provided to the Texas Attorney General's Office indicates that Social Security numbers and financial information may have also been exposed.

Mid America Physician Services operates through four divisions—namely, Johnson County OB/GYN, Women’s Care, Women’s Clinic of Johnson County and Women’s Health Associates.
