Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the MedRevenu data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who had their information exposed in the incident, including those who received notice of the MedRevenu data breach or otherwise believe they are affected.
MedRevenu Security Incident: What Happened?
MedRevenu, LLC, a company specializing in billing services for healthcare providers, has reported a data breach potentially affecting current and former patients of its clients, including Inland Physicians Hospitalist Services. The MedRevenu data breach was identified after a network disruption occurred around December 12, 2024. Upon discovery, MedRevenu secured its network and enlisted cybersecurity experts to investigate.
The investigation revealed that unauthorized access to certain files might have occurred, leading to potential exposure of personal data, including names, birth dates, Social Security numbers, driver’s license and government ID numbers, health insurance and medical information, financial account and payment card numbers, and access information. The company noted that not all types of data were exposed for every individual.
Notification efforts commenced after the investigation and electronic discovery process, which concluded on October 21, 2025.
