Lawsuit Investigation
Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the Medjet data breach.
As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.
Medjet and MedjetAssist, which provide an air medical transport and travel security membership program, experienced a data breach beginning on October 17, 2023, when their computer network was disrupted by malware, temporarily taking certain systems offline.
By December 5, 2023, Medjet discovered that unauthorized access to certain data might have occurred. A review, completed by May 10, 2024, confirmed that personal information—including names, addresses, and Social Security numbers—of 14,400 individuals was present on the network during the incident. According to a notice provided to the Texas attorney general's office, driver's licenses numbers, government-issued ID numbers and medical and health insurance information may have also been affected.
